Monica Meaux Hope is a single woman of a certain age. A talented writer and singer, she’s faced frustrations as an artist, not helped by the suffocating cloak of lingering childhood traumas, and the hurts of life challenges we all get fractured by. This beautifully delivered multi-media recitativo of sorts employs monologues, photos and 12 original songs written and performed by Meaux. An additional 3 jazz tunes were written by her mother, jazz pianist and educator Bertha Hope, and her late father, legendary jazz pianist Elmo Hope. Meaux’s deeply personal revelations seek to connect everyone’s struggle to heal past wounds and reclaim inner joy. Healing Fractures is moving and inspirational. Not to be missed! Directed by notable stage and television veteran, Barbara Montgomery.
Run time approximately 90 minutes.
